Isle of Man TT

special? crazy more like!
They wouldn't have it any other way fella, as a younger man and being into bikes I went to the Isle of Man TT and me and my mates took part in Mad Sunday the roads are not closed and there is traffic but it was one of the greatest moments of my life there was a gang of us who went and we stayed in a B&B I don't know how it got there or who brought it with them but there was literally a pillow case full of weed which we could all help ourselves to, absolutely ****ing brilliant it was.

It's not lasted very well has it? It looks more like it was built nearly 2,000 years ago, very poor workmanship.
Okay I'll admit the Flavian Amphitheatre was completed 1,920 years ago, you got me there, but it was used as a house of slaughter up until around 1,500 years ago it was damaged by earthquakes and stone robbers it was even struck by lightning which caused a fire burning off the upper stories of the building but it was renovated many times.

I don't believe any Christians were slaughtered there though, or at least there isn't any evidence of that happening..

Wow the TT's on again - only just noticed. Good weather so far so records are tumbling and driving is less dangerous. Ian Hutchinson stormed the first lap in the Superstocks (basically a road bike with hardly any mods) to crush any opposition over the 4 lap race. Lunatics one and all. Surely the most dangerous week of sport anywhere in the world - mesmerising, baffling, shocking, tremendous. Nice to see Toto Wolff waxing lyrical about the event when interviewed as a spectator.

Michael Dunlop is the brother of William, son of the late Robert and nephew of former World Champion the late Joey Dunlop.

.....There is a great video on Netflix called Road, which educated me to how much the Dunlop family has meant to the Isle of Man TT.

Only in the last 4 or 5 years that I have been following the Isle of Man TT, with great interest. It's hard for me to believe what I was really seeing, to how fast those riders go down the road. The TT is truly a thrilling and spectacular event to view, if you are a fan of any form of motor sport.

vintly...I'll bet that Hutchinson will lose to Michael Dunlop on the big bikes Friday, in the Seniors ..

I tell you what vintly.....The loser donates whatever 100 pounds is, to clip the apex.

Boooo. I'd rather not mix bets with donations. Furthermore, as much as I'm happy and willing to donate to CTA (and I will presently), I'm afraid the donation won't be £100!
Let me know when you're ready for a genuine wager. ;)

Fair enough Lewywo4, understandable. I thought I was onto a winner for a minute!

Hutchinson's form is all the more remarkable considering his awful crash in 2010 (not at the TT), resulting in endless surgery to mend a mangled leg, which he then refractutured in 2012. His left foot doesn't really work any more, the gears are switched to his right foot and the foot brake is operated by his left thumb.

He seems like a new breed of winner - more determined, focussed, younger, fitter and more than just a little bit faster than the old guard. Which is slightly at odds with his slightly high-pitched and softly spoken voice. Endearing to the end, and a legend in the making.

Reckon he'll boss the Senior race for his fourth TT victory in a week.

Ah. Well. Ahem. Yes. Erm something's not quite right. Lewywo4 can you hear that high pitch whistle in the distance, gradually dropping in pitch? That's the sound of my credibility plummeting that is.

Dunlop crushes Hutchy by more than 30 seconds in the Seniors race.
