So, back to the Challenges format today. You must have a go at naming all of the people in 5 categories. They will bring points values which add up to 200 per question, and thus 1000. Divide this score by 100 to give the score out of 10 that is standard. Three names will carry the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. They are not the names with the greatest amount of points, but please tell us if you get them by using the relevant smilies with your score, because I think they're the most impressive answers. Good luck! 1. Name the 12 drivers to win for Lotus. Jim Clark is not getting you any points Andretti and Senna are worth 5 points each Peterson is worth 10 points Fittipaldi, Rindt and Graham Hill are worth 15 points Moss and De Angelis score 20 points Siffert and Nilsson score 30 each Innes Ireland is worth 35 points and the Bronze Award ! 2. Name the 15 circuits visited in 1979 1 point each for Monza and Monaco 8 points each for Interlagos, Silverstone and Hockenheim 11 points for Montreal 12 points for Dijon 17 points each for Kyalami, Zandvoort and Watkins Glen 20 points each for Buenos Aires, Long Beach, Jarama, Zolder and the Osterreichring 3. Name the 13 pole sitters at the Hungaroring 5 each for Senna and Vettel 6 for Michael Schumacher 11 each for Hakkinen, Alonso, Hamilton, Mansell and Prost 21 each for Damon Hill, Barrichello and Raikkonen 26 for Patrese A mammoth 40 points for Thierry Boutsen (but no awards ) 4. Name the 26 drivers in 2001 No points for Alonso, Barrichello, Button, Coulthard, Hakkinen, Michael Schumacher or Jacques Villeneuve A point each for Raikkonen, Ralf Schumacher and Trulli 3 each for Fisichella, Frentzen and Montoya 8 each for Heidfeld, Irvine and Panis 9 points for Alesi 13 points each for Verstappen and De La Rosa 14 points each for Bernoldi and Zonta 19 points each for Berti, Marques, Mazzacane and Yoong 24 for Tomas Enge If you named Enge you win the Silver Award 5. 3.2 And i struggled with the maths too, you horrible man. I thought i was doing really well but didn't. Knowing i'm shit at these quizzes makes me feel better though, 3/10 is a good result for me!
3.24 and the Silver Award for me I just took it from you, hope you don't mind But I could not wait...
6.6 - a thoroughly enjoyable quiz! I think there was a certain Canadian driver missing from Q4 though...
Thanks Road. Since he's a former World Champion I feel I can justify a zero score. When I hear that I just want to do a quiz with far worse mathematical gymnastics, so I wouldn't complain too much!
I am pleasantly surprised to report 4.69! Most of my points came from the 1979 circuits and Hungary winners
Maybe negative points should be considered, because one feels tempted to throw in a thousand names in order to find 10 correct answers
Yeah, the idea of putting the amount of answers required in the question is to encourage the competitor to just pick that number of answers in an attempt. But, to be honest, I can't police how you lot attempt to play these quizzes so I just say do whatever you enjoy.
8.43! Although I only got a full house on Q2. I tend to immediately head for the obscure answers and, in the process, miss some of the blindingly obvious ones, for example Rindt for Q1 and Hamilton for Q3!
Sorry, I can't give you that since he was not - eventually - a classified podium finisher. But congratulations for querying that!
